He wasn't caught cheating, however his first choice of gloves were not approved by NSAC. They told him to pick a similar style glove, but a brand new pair, which they approved. That's when Floyd started his diva act, and got him to change to a different glove (still everlast, but not MX). But as I said, he had his special gloves for Alexander, Khan, and Broner (1-2 of those fights), and no one got KO'd. Hopefully Floyd let's him use a brand new pair of Everlast MX gloves, so they'll be no excuses.

There wasn't even this much fuss about Margarito's cheating scandal as there is being made about Mayweather not allowing Maidana to wear his special gloves. I never thought that I would ever hear of a fighter admitting publicly that he needs special gloves to win a fight and have people actually back him up on that point. He is basically saying "I need an unfair advantage to win". But I guess with some fans if it's against Mayweather anything goes.
their not"special gloves"...their punchers gloves...gloves he's comfortable fighting in...and if maidaina's team accepted money to wear the other gloves ,than too bad,...he agreed to it./if he got no money ,he's a buffoon.

The guy got caught trying to cheat with gloves that had the padding on the knuckle removed. He should be happy that he didn't get fined. He definitely didn't deserve to get paid. Combine the fact that he tried to pull a fast one with gloves, the amount of rabbit punches he threw in the first round and the fact that Robert Garcia was instructing him to fight dirty through out the fight he and his team shouldn't be allowed to make any demands about anything in the rematch
now he tried"cheating"...wtf?and no peds too?!

lol..i'll never watch wrestling...just making a point, letting the boxers dictate the rules can sometimes give unfair advantages, unless they both agreed on them, but don't change agreements of any kind at the last second...just cuz you can, doesn't make it right.

i agree, and i really don't see it changing the result...marcos will still need to land a miracle punch, mayweather has an exceptional chin,i saw that the day he took the mosley right hand, its probably gonna take more than one lucky punch,as mayweather knows how to weather a storm.
