Good thing Mayweather doesn't own a basketball team. He'd justify his team's hoop being 2 feet lower than the opposing team's
Not a good analogy. More like switching a Spalding ball for a Nike ball. Both gloves are still 8 oz. gloves. Maidana didn't KO Khan, Alexander, or Broner with his special gloves either.

No dispute here, but there is a breach of contract issue that has to be addressed.
Maidana's gloves are legal and used in important fights. Mayweather will not let him use them in the rematch just as he didn't let him use them in the first fight. They are puncher's gloves and Mayweather fears the extra power Maidana would have using these gloves. Mayweather will use the same tactic he used before to get his way. He will just say if you wear those gloves I will not fight you. Floyd will again get his way and Maidana will end up wearing whatever gloves Mayweather allows him to wear. Mayweather doesn't need to fight Maidana with so many other challengers available. Maidana will end up agreeing to all of Mayweather's demands just to get another fight with him.
