Noticed that myself. That is why Caparello knocked him down, not a footstomp he'd of touched down regardless.

Check it in this sparring video its constant and he is continually pulling straight back, foot crossing, overextending

Pascal is a lot faster and more explosive than Kovalev.

The only question I really have is how at aged 49 will B-Hop react to getting hit by him.
He has a lot of flaws in his footwork and defense I feel B-Hop can capitalise on its just his power concerns me. He definitely hits very hard but do we have a real gauge on it? I mean hes not fought anyone remotely durable.

Cleverly stood right in front of him and not sure where the granite chin talk thing came about, anybody who followed his career has seen him hurt on multiple occasions at British level. I strongly recall Kuziemski hurting him badly, Bellew stunned him a few times.
He is obviously a very big puncher but we've not seen him against a guy with a great chin.

cleverly stood right in front of him, high guard and didnt throw back.

pascal throws some athletic looping hooks

kovalev throws straight punches, rarely throws hooks or uppercuts from awkward angles

I think everyone for the most part is saying Hopkins is going to confuse and surprise sergey but I think it will be the opposite.. I think Hopkins will be surprised by sergey.

Pascal also hits softer and can't finish like Kovalev. Nor does he have the activity, at least over the first half of a fight that we've seen Kovalev fight.

Hopkins has currently fought 494 rounds in his career. I have a feeling he will STOP at 500.

                  50 years old, 500 rounds.

6th Rnd stoppage win for Kovalev.
