Really cannot see how Golovkin is an excellent boxer.

Maybe not excellent. I wasn't saying he's Hopkins or Floyd or Rigo. But he typically sticks to fundamentals and the knockouts come because he hits so hard, which is different from Kovalev or Matthysse who are purely punchers.

He's got solid fundamentals and he's solid technically but I still don't think it translates to that.

I don't think I've ever seen him throw a counter punch.

He has subtle skills and breaks guys down with intelligent pressure and obviously extremely hard punches but like I said I don't see how he's an excellent boxer I wouldn't describe him as a boxer in any sense.

Hopkins is still a +215 underdog in this fight. I thought it would shift considering how many high profile boxers, and it seems the majority of experts, are confident in a Hopkins victory.

It's a Golden Boy event, and Hopkins is part owner of Golden Boy Promotions.

All four officials are from the same general area as B-Hop.

The referee David Fields will play a major role in this, because Hopkins knows he can't win without cheating with deliberate headbutts or other illegal tactics such as pretending to be fouled for a DQ.
What notable fights has Fields officiated?

From a quick scan of boxrec the last major fight I noticed was Pavlik-Martinez. That's a big of a gap.
