Floyd has the deeper resume, the more "accomplished pro", but we all know which would be the greater win.
But the wins i listed for Maidana were in his division so he was fighting top guys in his division so your comparison makes no sense

Ortiz and Broner are better wins then any win Kovalev has period

and did you really list Trinidad for Jones???..so you can list Jones for Hopkins then right?
As if that means anything. Floyd has his fair share of Victor Ortiz's on his record. A lot of guys can pick up a belt vs a Berto. Like Maidana picking up a belt vs Broner.

I think Floyd has a good resume btw, much better than people give him credit for.

But I'm still waiting for how Hopkins can have a better resume than Jones Jr? And who would you have liked Jones jr to face that he didn't, since you bring that up.

I mean, Hopkins may have fought the 'best' middleweights at the time, but when Glen Johnson is a top win for you, you know something is wrong.

I was just going off memory, I know he was done.

People put too much stock into those "names" on his record and forget the circumstances in which Floyd fought them. Like Floyd says himself it's all about timing...

If it ever does, Kovalev stops Hopkins.

Hopkins resume is deeper... I am/was a huge Jones fan so lets get that out of his way but resume was never his backbone period...he does not have a bad one but it is not great at all... Hopkins has beaten more world champions and he is still going.Jones at one time was ahead for sure..but Hopkins has caught up and passed him

No chance. Hopkins doesn't have a win as good as Jones' over himself or Toney.

Hopkins definitely wins in the longevity department, but I can't see how he'll ever surpass Jones in resume or greatness.

Didn't jones test positive for steroids? That counts for something.

                  Hopkins is greater anyway.

I keep them even in the ratings department. Kova will have to fight smart and avoid Bernards standard trappings or Kova will be in tuff with Bernard.
To me Bernard can perform well in any era but he isn't a top five guy in the Middle or LtHvy divisions. That's just my opinion and his record is very good but he never faced talents like Robinson, Hagler, LaMotta, Cerdan and Griffth and Monzon or Burley. I don't see Bernard game working well against the greats at 160. That's not to say he can't compete and do well. At LtHvy he gets hurt against the greats, sorry but he doesn't stand in with Bob Foster or Mike Spinks, Conn, Moore, Johnson or Saad or Jones theres others too. Again he can hang with most but he is NOT a dominate fighter in with the greats!

His legacy has more to with his age and productivity than his resume names!

He has skills to go along with his ring IQ and as he's gotten older he knows when to fight and when to BS every to think he's doing something special.
That's a talent in its self, Floyd's learned it too. It's like Ali looking great the first and last 30 seconds of a round just make the middle doesn't have anything happen that distracts from the Thirties!!!!!Also known as "stealing the round"!!! Ali was a master at that, no one had a 3 minute clock in his head like him.

                    Ray.

Hopkins is already above Floyd in my book. Bernard took on all challengers and didn't back down from anyone. He may have lost fight here or there on the score cards but always showed up to win. Kovalev would just be icing on the cake.
