    Choose your poison...
Stay at 135lbs or go down in weight and let Mikey Garcia take your head off your shoulders.

Yeah, Gamboa wasn't even sitting down for the last few rounds. It was just a mess after the fourth. Yuri completely lost composure. That's always a danger when you have rarely tasted defeat in your life. This loss might turn out to be a blessing in disguise. It might help ground Gamboa and motivate him to get his house in order.

I want to see a fight announced for Gamboa for like September, then we'll know if they're serious about getting things together. Yuri needs to get busy. Part of what killed him in this fight was his terrible inactivity. Crawford was only Gamboa's third fight in as many years. Fighting world class opposition with only two fights in three years is a recipe for failure.

Definitely. Sometimes you need to get slapped in the face to wake up and make changes. Judging from his tweets he seems to have brought himself down a notch and is eager to get back in the ring. Time will tell.

i'm a huge gamboa fan after saturday night. i think he beats the f#ck out of some of the guys at 130.

i'm pissed that gamboa didn't break through until saturday. he was a supreme talent, and he's already past his prime.

he could have been a scary fight at 126 and in his mid - early 20's. he was prime in the amateurs.

Gamboa gained a lot of fans in defeat. He's been the source of a lot of frustration for guys like me that have been following him since his days as an Olympian. It's not often that a talent like him appears on the scene. It's a crying shame when they're derailed like Yuri was, albeit through his own fault. I just hope Gamboa can salvage what's left of his potential.

I can easily see no one testing the fighters......I mean we are talking about what, the first title fight in a million years in Omaha? LOL. I'm surprised the ring didn't fall apart and other things go wrong because of how long it has been since a title fight was held there.......that reminds me, damn these bastards who continue to allow slippery logos on the canvas! Why don't they just spill honey all over the canvas and advertise the brand of honey while they are at it????? ENOUGH of advertising on the canvas! It has got to stop!
