11K in Nebraska last night? Imagine the potential after last night's performance. Good for Terrence.
He'd have to match well(Crawford)in order to draw this kinda crowd again..Yet I see them coming back anyway..

Yea when Alvarado loss to Prov you felt all the energy being sucked right out of the building..

Because people like to see an exciting fight. It's not unusual for a crowd to turn on its fighter if the fight is too boring. Both guys put on a show and Omaha's fighter got the KO so the crowd is meant to go crazy.
its like the old adage "what came first, the chicken or the egg?"

on one hand you could say that the crowd was excited and live because the action inside the ring was exciting and live.

but then i could argue and say that the action inside the ring was exciting and live because the crowd being exciting and live invigorated both fighters and brought out the best in them.

i wish more people understood this concept. its one thing that bothers me about boxing lol. it might be why wlad fights are usually boring, because the crowd is boring as well and it doesnt spark a passion inside the fighters.

its an interesting theory, but ill tell you this. one thing is for certain and thats whenever there is a live crowd, there is a live fight that night as well. everybody feeds off each others energy.

The crowd was quite uninterested in the Korobov fight with most people meandering around before the Crawford fight. They did boo in the late stages a couple times though. What a dumpy match up though. I'm assuming they were nervous about going to Nebraska and didn't want to waste any 'names' on the undercard. Just my opinion.

They will come back. Crawford will be a bonafide celebrity in Omaha for life now. The same thing that happened to the Alvarado crowd would have happened to Crawford last night if Gamboa would have dropped him a couple times. But, that's boxing. I witnessed that more than ever when Cory Spinks got spanked by Judah in St. Louis back in '05. Talk about life getting sucked out of an arena.

I'm sure 25% of the crowd at the Vegas fights aren't even boxing fans but just people who happen to be living it up in Vegas at the time.

That ending was very dramatic and memorable..That's really Judah's defining moment in his career..

Agreed. Both fighters never really went on to much bigger things afterward. I expected nothing short of a hall of fame career from Judah after that.

Not sure why promoters put guys fighting in some 500 person casino...made it an awesome atmosphere. I'm so used to Ward in Oakland type atmosphere that I didn't think the US had it in them anymore..

                    Well done Omaha!!
Casinos pay significant site fees. I agree, atmosphere makes a huge difference, I think it helps the fight too, the boxers go for it more when the crowd reacts.

Poor comment. Not everyone is as racist as Floyd fans on NSB.
