lol nah I ain't upset, I didn't even know people were picking him to beat Thurman and Porter. That's ridiculous, they would both brutalise Crawford, definitely at this point anyway.

I just saw a lot of people yesterday saying they were surprised by Crawford's power etc, not realising he was fighting a smaller guy with chin problems.

Nobody has ever hurt Gamboa like this before. He went down before, yes, but I have never seen him hurt. Crawford made him do a dance and dropped him four times. Crawford can crack, Burns and Klimov (his two previous fights) fought to survive when they felt his power.

Why are you even discussing Crawford at 147 though?

Too early to be talking about it now, but he will almost certainly end up at 147, maybe even 154 one day.

He was probably more hurt vs Farenas than any of the kds yesterday

Because he's a WW. He came in at 153 or 154 for Prescott. I believe. Someone refresh my memory. The money is at 147. He'll beat up a few guys at 140, but 147 is where he'll end up. Maybe even higher.

147 is gonna be the glamour division because of Manny and Floyd. That's where they made their superstar marks. HBO will want him to dominate the same weight class as them.

Yep, saying the same thing. He'll end up at 154, and have a mega fight with Errol Spence or someone.

Not sure why the talk about "moving up" is even a thought for his team right now. He got hurt a few times by Gamboa and Gamboa is an arm puncher. They need to stay at 135 or be careful at 140. At 147 there's to many guys that will walk him down and they punch much harder than he does.
Give the kid a chance to grow naturally. Last night he was tight for 4 rounds because fighting on your home turf can be a strain and he looked way to tight. That's how you get hurt too!

But in my opinion, the size (and the reach too) difference is also the reason why Crawford was able to badly hurt Gamboa. To be honest, I didn't think Gamboa could hurt Crawford and I was surprised when it happened.
I could dig this. It seems that some people are acting like Crawford was picking on Gamboa though. IMO Gamboa was the A-side going in.

Why wouldn't a fighter use their attributes to their benefit?

No way was Gamboa the a side. Inactive, looked like **** above 126, with small time promoter, fighting in Crawford s hometown
