Don't be fooled by yesterday's fight...

First of all, I like Crawford, I've been tipping him for big things for a while, I think he's a future top 10 P4P fighter, but people are overrating his power based on yesterday's fight.

Gamboa is half his size, plus he has a weak chin and his defence is non-existent at times, people are getting carried away with Crawford's power. P4P he's got similar power to Bradley.

I havnt really seen anybody over rate his power. Obviously you have though.

I don't think Crawford is some huge puncher myself but Gamboa never really recovered from that first knock down IMO. As far as the "half his size thing" let's just dispel that now. Yes Crawford is quite a bit taller than Gamboa but he only weighed 7 pounds more I think. (Still big for 35) but the fight wasn't won with his size (reach, height, weight) Crawford won that fight on the inside. Gamboa came out and figured a way around the "size" difference. Crawford adjusted and caught him with short chippy shots.

That's my take on it. Everybody trying to talk about the size difference when that's not what really made the difference to me

Bro just be honest. You're a lil upset because of the certain few who believe that a very good Crawford can actually beat 2 of the better welterweights in Thurman and or Porter. Don't let that bother you because while he may be a better talent pfp those 2 undress him rather soundly in a welterweight fight.

Crawford is patient and has good timing. If he catches you and hurts you, he can finish.

He's a strong puncher at LW. i won't expect him to KO the top fighters at 140 though.

The trught probably lies somewhere in the middle. Gamboa has always been a fast starter, Crawford took his time, switched to southpaw and was trying to time him, and it paid dividends. But in my opinion, the size (and the reach too) difference is also the reason why Crawford was able to badly hurt Gamboa. To be honest, I didn't think Gamboa could hurt Crawford and I was surprised when it happened.

I voted Crawford by stoppage in the main thread but NOT because of his power but because of the size advantage and Gamboa's shaky chin.

Has decent power. His skills will carry him through the day against most fighters, but there are some stylistic nightmares for him at 147. Namely, Thurman, porter, and possibly Brook.

Let's see if he can take a WWs punch.
