I don't see how there was more doubt about tonight's fight than Mat-Molina. It was pretty much all Crawford after 4 rounds, and Yuri was all over the place. Matt was down in the 5th, hurt in the 6th, and he didn't start dominating until around the 9th. He certainly had to come back from a more dire situation than Crawford did.

Its up there for me in #1 so far. True seesaw battle .
See, to me a seesaw battle is one in which the action consistently goes back and forth, usually with the fighters trading rounds. I don't see how any case can be made for Gamboa winning a round after the 4th, and it seems like most people also had him losing that round too.

Good fight, but not FOTY to me.

Even in the last minutes of the figh Gamboa came back firing and clipped and hurt crawford finally right before getting stopped when crawford recouped if that's not back and forth idk what is.

Ya, so for like 40 seconds out of the last 5 rounds there was some back and forth where Gamboa had significant success.

Aside from that the last five rounds were Gamboa swinging wildly, getting put on his ass, and not coming close to winning a round. Two judges gave him only two rounds, and I think that's defensible.

Wow, I respect every opinion, but it`s not even a top 5 in my list.

How many of you have seen Brizuela vs Coyle? Both guys down 4 times, trading knockdowns in the same round, and a much bigger comeback than tonight's. Someone tell me how Crawford shutting Gamboa out for over half the fight and bouncing him off the canvas is better than that.

                I'd have tonight's fight behind that, Matt-Molina, and Guerrero-Kamegai.

It was a great fight but after the 4th round Gamboa had very fews moments and it fell short of being a foty candidate to me. And as good as Matthysse Molina was it was too one sided to be foty for me as well.

Rodrigo Guerrero vs Daniel Rosas is the best fight Ive seen so far this year. Other foty candidates so far have been Yodmongkol Vor Saengthep vs Takuya Kogawa, and Koki Eto vs Adrin Diale. I still haven't watched Reveco vs Alvarado yet, though I read it was a great fight. I also read Jonathan Taconing vs Vergilio Silvano was epic war, but I yet to see a copy of this fight to surface.

IMO most of the best fights in boxing go overlooked due to the fighters being unkown and fighting in weight classes most fans dont care about. Its really a shame. The foty nod usually goes to the bigger names. Thats why the foty in 2011 went to Ortiz vs Berto, when it probably should've gone to Yaegashi vs Porpramook or Porpramook vs Hernandez.

FIGHT of the year? Wouldnt even place it in top 5 considering I watch more than Boxing and ive seen better comebacks this year.
