Theres no lucky punch in a prize fight! Marquez proved that.

Yea he has been there but Prescott is no Alvarado, Garcia, Provodnikov, Mattysee or even Lamont Peterson. 140 is still a deep division.

I can't say he's "arrived." He said he was going to 40. Does he eat the amount of shots he did tonight is that's Matthysse or Provo in there tonight?

He did, but everyone on here exept me and a few others said cotto would win.. and he did!

The other side of that is: can Provo and Matthysse land that amount of shots?

Those guys are brawlers with little speed, Gamboa was landing because he has his smaller guy speed and also technique.

Are any of those fighters remotely close to being as explosive as Gamboa?
Which is why Crawford got hit, the answer is no, Crawford holds his own.

Even if you beat Matthysse of Ruslan, you're gonna have to take their shots and fight them back. I'd say those guys would have no problem landing on Crawford at some point.

Same question can be asked of lucas and provo, can they take crawfords shots?? Only way to find out is if they make the fights... all i know is crawford against any of 140's best are big fights that the boxing public would accept, i hope..

                    • Great fight! Crawford has a great chin. I was wrong about how tough he is cause he is actually muc h tougher.

I was a huge fan of Gamboa before this fight. And now Im an even bigger fan. I very much appreciate his effort.

                      Keep your head up champ!

Very interested in their next step. 140lbs is looking mighty interesting. And Gamboa should consider 130lbs.
