There has been notable fighters who jumped from 135 to 147 like duran and mosely but i doubt arum would put crawford in with pac, hes just not ready for that type of fighter yet!

Sure, I was just putting in example of a cuban getting shut out on the outside. Here is a hint to the verdict. Canelo SD in fight that Lara Dominated.

How about lara gets beat 7-5 in a close fight? I believe lara is going to have to fight out of his comfort zone to beat canelo, but will he??

Gamboa is a great talent but has always been mentally weak. Crawford was more focused and took advantage of his recklessness. Crawford would win this fight if they fought 100 times. Great fight!

Wtf jake is the bull**** you wrote about perhaps his only sucessful defense. I don't know if you're refer to his weight issues at lightweight? But perhaps this is the last piece you write? I wont elaborate either.. you hardly talked up Crawford's massive victory. Focused on both fighters negatives. Terence won a great fight. . End of

you guys are misconstruing what Jake meant. Terence told me earlier this week that this was likely his last fight at 135 and 140 would come sooner than later. I am sure that is what he means.

Well I didn't mean it would be their next fight, but maybe 2 years from now when Manny is likely to be on his last legs and Crawford is more seasoned. Also, didn't Roach mention the possibility of him moving down to 140?

I think fighting in the amateurs too long actually hurts fighters. They become accustom to a fighting style where their chin does not need protection as much. Gamboa needs to work on his defense. He was able to get away with it with smaller opponents but this fighting style with your hands down and never covering your chin almost never lasts ask Naseem Hamed among others.

At this point, Gamboa may be damaged goods UNLESS he revamps his style to prepare more to avoid shots.

Crawford didn't impress me much. I think he was just a bigger guy fighting a smaller guy who couldn't take his punching power. Will truly see what Crawford is made of when he fights bigger guys who can take his punching power and then he has to adjust to that. Easy to adjust when you hurt the guy with every power punch you throw.

LOL these fighters get one knockout win and already you want to think about him in with the greatest fighter of this era.

He KOed a weak-chinned guy he was much bigger than...let's calm down with Crawford...let him fight guys who will actually handle his punching power at 140 and see what he's really made of...
