Do people here think that if Haymon is unsuccessful Mayweather takes a loss by proxy ? Fighters are signing on with this guy in droves, there must be a reason. If things were so good with Arum, King, or ODLH, you would think there would be a little more parody in terms of who those guys choose to sign with ... I know Haymon isn't a promoter (technically) but let's be real he has a large enough stable of "unsigned" talent that he can put on shows for years to come just with the guys he has now ... Not to mention the up and comers that I'm sure he's looking to scoop up.

Some of you are moronic. Yes on a PPV Showtime may lose on the Mayweather contract. however BIG PICTURE. They are very pleased. Showtime gets $7.99 per provider each month from each subscriber. Since the Mayweather contract signed in Deb 2013. Subscriptions jumped up 1.5 Million. 800K of those are boxing fans that now subscribe that didnt before. Its been 15 months. 800,000 x $7.99 = Profit of $6.4 Million a Month x 15 Months = 95.8 Million profit that they did not have before. Mayweather vs maidana PPV's are simply a lose leader. A Event thats a loss that leads to or must be down to maintain other profits. A little business 101.

More proof just last night. When talking about the fight in Omaha Arum said to do it down the road at a casino. Crawford said NO and took less money to do it in Omaha. The casino bid more then the arena in Omaha. Hence Taking less guaranteed money. Once a bid is made that is what the venue most pay regardless of what tickets are sold or not sold.

So lets go offer this:
A: Venues bid on fights (Barclays, MGM, Madison Square Garden, Etc)
B: Networks offer x amount to air fight
C: Promoters Sell sponsors/advertising
Its that simple. Furthermore I work in the industry. Haymon is not desperate for dates. Something big is about to happen. Think NFL Network, MLB network, NHL network. Middle man is about to get cut out.

He has bought up so many damn contracts, technically his stable is getting deeper than GBP or TR. Who has the budget for all these guys, especially considering they start asking for mad money once they sign with him?
Him looking for additional dates isnt necessarily a bad thing, it's just crazy. Dude is looking to go Dana White on us from the darkness.
