I heard a caller on thaboxingvoice a while ago say that haymon plans on putting fights on ESPN and ESPN ppv
He may have to do that. But again his fighters won't make the money that Berto and Broner made and it's a pipe dream that any fighter will ever get the Mayweather deal again.
His power coming into negotiations with HBO will take a hard hit...
I've been saying this for a long time, a lot of these fighters are ****** to sign with him. Showtime doesn't have the budget for his stable, Nobody does.
And as the ratings drop, there's a good chance Showtime will cut espinozas budget.
whether or not showtime have the budget is irrelevant, Haymon = no promoting license...so what can he do? he has to work with promoters, he most definitely will not work with Arum, so he and his fighters who have spoken out against GBP will have to work with, you guessed it, GBP.
How many times has posters here have made assumptions about Haymon, Mayweather, Schaefer's and GBP's/Showtime business plans and had to keep changing those mind.
ESPN PPV? Hahaha.... with who? Man.... that ish would kill me
It'd be no different than those crappy was top rank ppv cards like Latin fury etc. It won't sell a lot but, boxing heads will buy them and his fighters will get some exposure as opposed to none. The reason he's doing this is not out of desperation as much as it is about his widely expanding roster.
