And what exactly is the problem with that? He's trying to earn his legacy by actually fighting the best not simply fighting for fake belts. Both guys believe they can beat the other yet you have a problem with only the guy you don't support? Every elite fighter should believe they can be the best specially if their fighting the best to justify that belief.

I'm not one to pick sides since I enjoy boxing as a whole for most fights but God damn are these fans making me cringe left and right. Canelo is arrogant because he wants to fight the best and nothing less? How? Don't folks b!tch at fighters for "ducking" and once they step up and state they want to fight the best they label them "****y and arrogant". Lol…just lol. Canelo never said he was the best to ever do it or he is the man to beat, no. In fact both of them are arrogant and come off as ****y pricks but it comes with the territory when you actually have pride in what you do. If you don't aim to be the best at what you do, why do it? Lara is good no doubt but the "fans" need to stop making excuses before the fight even begins. I noticed it's one of 2 comments from the Lara fans that seem to constantly be stated. 1, Lara schools "Ginger" and takes him through the Cuban school of boxing before dropping him off at Special Ed Class.. or 2, Lara wins convincingly but gets robbed since the judges are bought, the ring is too small, the canvas is made of foam, canelo is wearing the wrong gloves, Canelo's mom put a hex on Lara, Lara woke up on the wrong side of the bed 3 years ago causing him to roll over in bed and kill a butterfly that would alter the outcome of his upcoming fight, Lara forgot to take a *****, etc etc…
July 12th can't come soon enough, not because I want the fight to go down, but because I want the nonsense to burn out already..Comment

There's nothing to hate on about this fight. We should all be ecstatic that it's taking place. I know I am.
And it's time to let the Lopez/Hatton/Baldomir etc. stuff go. This is 4 straight, really good fights. It's clear that Canelo wants to be the best.

Let's label Canelo as arrogant for trying to beat the best and being as respectful towards his opponents as possible because we don't like him. You said one was on a different level of arrogance because he's believing in his hype while the other is simply believing in his heart he can win. That sounds like the same thing to me making your statement a contradiction.
He said he wants his name to be synonymous with boxing and that's why he's taking on the biggest threats to establish his legacy amongst greats. He never said he's better than anyone he's simply saying he strives to get there one day.Again what exactly is wrong with a young fighter wanting to be the best? That's the way you want to interpret as innocent, but it if Lara would have said my name will become synonymous with boxing the pitchforks would be lit about being a **** talker while Canelo is spewing that verbal diarrhea like he is the second coming of boxing Jesus with 0 to back it up. Hell if he was to win it would be the biggest win of his career, if not then he needs to take it down more than a few notches and focus on who he actually is instead of imagining a future where boxing is Canelo. I think Mayweather making him his son gave him a few of his traits the difference is Mayweather has earned the right to talk all that **** Canelo has nothing to back it up with literally at all he has 0 on Lara resume wise. The only reason he can be so arrogant is because he knows he has the right backing and he has the hype on his side and he loves it of course but has obviously made him arrogant to a ludicrous degree.
