    1. Korobov almost got stopped in the first round.

    2. Korobov gets sloppy when he throws in combo.

I don't think he beats any of the top 5 at MW.
I think one happened because of two. Edwards seems he can crack too. He is sloppy an open throwing, some of his punches look like hammer slaps sometimes too, but still skillful and still kind of fast.

I think he just over-committed after he hurt Edwards because he thought he could take him out. Got caught and his defense afterwards was atrocious... Could've got stopped.

I'm Korobov biased because I am Korobov.... But I still think I'm good

It's Matvey Korobov's time to shine.

He's got skills and he got Stamina, got Hands of Stone like the cat from Panama. Bodies drop from his body shots, no need for Glocks or Karate Chops.

Uzcategui is a big ass middleweight with good pop. Korobov just hasn't transitioned well to the pros. Intriguing fight.

Never been sold on Korobov. Another one of those guys you look at and question how the hell he achieved so much as an amateur because he looks a very mediocre boxer to me. I see no star quality and his amateur pedigree just does not show.

He looks your bog standard 50 fight amateur to me not a guy who excelled at the highest level with 300 or more.

Jose isn't too bad actually. But he is kinda slow and sloppy at times.

Korobov SHOULD win but with such a high KO ratio you gotta give Jose the benefit of the doubt and say he could be dangerous.

                Jacobs has cleaner technique.

I'm not overly impressed with Korobov, but I tend to think what happened in the first round against Edwards might be a good thing for him, as maybe he'll be a little smarter next time he goes about trying to finish an opponent off.

Yeah - one of the things you can see with Korobovs last few fights is that he's started to get more aggressive and take more risks, I believe he knows Kovalev on a personal level and is certainly aware of the splash both GGG and Kovalev have made with their more aggressive styles.

Given how his career has stagnated I think he's become aware he needs to show a more fan friendly style - problem is I ain't sure how well he can pull it off.

He very nearly paid the price for this approach in the Edwards fight, and I believe he'll be more cautious against a known puncher like Bolivita. Certainly he needs to get the measure of the guy first.

IMO Korobov needs to try to box Jose through to at least the mid-rounds, and not be looking for the KO unless he's absolutely sure Bolivita is close to done.

Nonetheless Korobov is a superb technical boxer, and when he's not looking to put on a show, rarely loses a round. If he goes for the UD I certainly wouldn't blame him and would expect him to win comfortably on points.

That said, Uzcategui clearly is not without skill himself and has a fearsome KO record - albeit against largely unproven opposition. I can't really make an educated judgement on his ability given his limited opposition but he has a high workrate, and seems to throw reasonable combinations though seems to fight largely on reflex, and often wings his punches. Kid needs to tighten up a bit both on offense and defense.

For me Korobov wins by wide UD if he chooses to box, but can't afford to take big risks.

Will teach him next time he tried to throw combos of punches and hammer slaps
