Are Cuban boxers the most un-charismatic fighters?

Teofilo Stevenson and Felix Savon were charismatic. Casamayor was a badass. I wish some current Cuban boxers were like Casa, but it seems that he was an exception to the rule.
I think you might be onto something.

Personally I find Rigo boring. I think he raps nice, he's got a great flow and he can be witty at times, so he gets those brownie points. But again his energy is flat most of the time. Guys like Lara, Rigo and Gamboa act flat, they can say the best jokes out there and they'd still be boring cause they don't talk or act with much of emotion.

That's not really what charismatic is about. You can find guys who can rap better or speak slang better than Rigo in almost any beer corner these days, and not too many of them are considered charismatic either. What's more Rigo speaks Santiago slang, which not many Spanish speaking people outside of Cuba will pick on.

Rigo is actually pretty charismatic he's a f ucking riot. We just dont hear from him likely because Arum hates him lol. But he's a witty dude. A lot of his interviews are sudden and random too. I think Golden boy could do a lot for him in exposing him to the latin market. He's got a bit of that natural swag about him.

Lara seems cool, the rest though....ehhh...

I loved it when Abril crashed the Rios vs. Gamboa press conference in Miami and confronted Rios. He punked him outside of the ring, telling Rios he was more Mexican than him and laughing at him because Rios can barely speak Spanish. Then he finished the job in the ring. Give the man some credit.

Gamboa is pure swag in the ring. I agree that he's a bit flat outside of it.

Lara is charm and swag outside of the ring and the same inside in the ring. That smile he gave his corner in the Trout fight when Trout was late to come out of the corner was awesome.

Abril is... I don't know. Weird dude. Smiles on his way to the ring and looks upset when he's declared the winner. Dude is a professor in the ring though.

Perez is flat outside the ring, but Beast inside.

Barthelemy is Jokes!!! Dude was on his cell phone after a KO as they announced him the winner.

Rigo is the master, plain and simple, in the ring and out. You ain't touching him period. He uses a lot of slang, but if you can understand him he's hilarious and deep. Whole other level with this dude.

Mayweather and Broner (seems like they) they talk too much, and that's their problem. But Lara and Rigondeaux talks very little, and yet... That's STILL a problem....

                  WHICH ONE IS IT?

What's also common about them, or, at least, some of them, is that they always seem to have this chip on their shoulders. They blame everyone but themselves for the condition they're in; it's Arum, HBO, GBP, Schaefer, you name it. You can have all the titles in the world, but if you're not giving what the paying public wants, then they're useless.

They grew up on a no bull**** system, so the spotlight can really affect some of them and most dont react so well to it. I can tell you that those guys away from the spotlight are tremendous human being and Rigo is a fun dude, but when it comes to the spotlight he only has this face -_-
