They were risky fights if we look at them from the 2014 POV, but at the time that he took them, he was suppose to clearly beat them.

If that was the case that was more about the hype surrounding Devon and the lack of hype surrounding them more so than the actual matchups themselves. Matthysse was a risky fight no matter how many people know who he is.
