Russell should have focused more on timing and accuracy when he came forward throwing combos Lomachenko was out of range.Comment

His speed meant absolute and utter shhh last night..he's just fast to be fast..it's like owning a lambo in a town with a speed limit of 25 mph. It would behoove this dude to really turn into a counter puncher instead of trying to initiate offense because he isn't accurate with his punches...you trying to show off your speed against an opponent who is always out of reach. Time to give up dad as a trainer and get someone to take you to the next level gary.Comment

Kafkod: there is no way any other boxers are in the class of ****** trash like broner etc and other egomaniacal black fighter who have a five year old brain in an adult body. I watched the fight on u tube between Marciano and Archie Moore. after the fight Archie was the most modest and respectful as can be and so was Marciano after killing each other. Two gentlemen. watch it and compare the interview to this garbage Russell. Russell was beaten for 90% of the fight and still thinks he is better. that is a DNA thangComment

Archie Moore was a black fighter and a gentleman. Different era but same DNA as Broner and Russell.
And Russell didn't behave like Broner after he lost. Broner sulked like a spoiled kid and jumped out of the ring as soon as the decision was announced without answering any questions.
Gary Russell answered the questions put to him and gave Loma credit for winning. He said the decision was fair. Same DNA as Broner, but a different reaction to losing.
And if you listen to his interview, Russell never said he thought he was better than Loma. The interviewer asked him two questions at the same time - was he better than you, and was he better than you expected him to be.
Russell answered the second question, not the first. He said that Loma was no better than he expected him to be, but that he didn't execute his game plan the way he wanted to.Comment
