In the Canelo fight though. He got credit for every shot that landed on glove and their were a lot.
Yea I hear you.. sometimes punchstats and even the commentators don't say whats really going on... this was a big dilemma in the Provo-Algeri fight this weekend.. I personally thought Algeri won easy.... 9-3, 8-4 type fight.. but the HBO team was crediting Provo too much for his aggression.. even though it wasn't effective aggression.

I originally thought Floyd was going to stop Maidana.... Gatti type fight.. but I do think he wont stand and trade as much... but I don't think hes stopping Maidana.

First off, Robert Sr. is mad because Maidana did what his son (and Cotto, and Canelo) didn't do, blast off when you got Floyd in the pocket, or on the ropes. Secondly, Floyd is 37, he's slowing down. The end is definitely near. I don't think he was purposely not moving around to set up a rematch. Floyd just hasn't been moving around as much as he used to. He's in the pocket about 90 seconds a round now, but guys don't throw because of his accuracy with the counter shots. What I can't get is why guys fear the counter shot? You're not gonna outbox him, and he won't knock you out, so beating him up is your only chance. Empty your clip and hope for the best! At least Maidana didn't die with a bullet left in the chamber.

This is one of the best analogies I've read on the subject. And yeah, Maidana didn't show any respect, and we saw the results.

I think Floyd hits a lot harder than people think... but I don't know... Mosley didn't even try.. Canelo tried to outbox him... really makes no sense & makes you think... whats really going on? Weird if u ask me... definitely give Maidana credit for trying and his effort is what had people crying thinking he won the fight... which he clearly didn't.

This is his legacy. I don't know if i've ever seen a more efficient fighter since Pernell Whitaker. Some guys try to make people miss but they aren't firing back, and end up looking ****** (Bradley, Broner), but Floyd makes them miss, and makes them pay.

I've thought for quite some time now that Ruben is a dodo bird at trainer. He did a pathetic job preparing Robert for Floydie, and it showed with one of the worst performances ever from a Floydie challenger. And I think he's jealous Maidana fought rings around Guerrero's performance. It would be a seriously entertaining fight though... Maidana vs Guerrero.

I think Maidana would've been better @ 155 on fight night. He seemed gassed to me in both the Broner fight and Mayweather fight. His aggression is basically done after 8 rounds. He has no game for the "Championship Rounds." I blame Garcia and Ariza for that.
