Fought Margarito after the savage beating Mosley him. Fought Mosley after a loss to Floyd and what should have been a loss to Mora. Fought the re and rubber matches with Morales following him being outclassed by Zahir Raheem. And the list goes on and on. I don't care what the name on the front of the trunks says. Its about when the fights happened.

I don't really understand the outrage over a potential Manny-Algeri fight. It's clearly not a main event worthy of $60-$70. But it's certainly a fight that I'd be interested in the outcome. Every fight isn't gonna be a superfight. And I think in between big fights, Algeri has done enough to earn the label of "tune-up/stay busy" opponent. He's certainly more deserving than Brandon Rios, who was coming off a loss like so many of Manny's opponents have been.Comment

So you're willing to pay $60-$70 for Pacquiao Algieri?I don't really understand the outrage over a potential Manny-Algeri fight. It's clearly not a main event worthy of $60-$70. Excuse me, but I don't believe we've met. I don't believe you were with me watching Pacquiao battle Morales, Barrera, etc. I served 21 years in the Navy, and have a good relationship with many Filipinos, so Manny was the life of the fight parties, Manny built comraderie amongst us all, as well as bridged the cultures. Manny is the Ali of the Phillipipines, and I have MAD respect for him for his love of his people.
Who I am not a fan of is Bob Arum. You can be a Tyson fan, and dislike Don King. You can be an Ali fan, and dislike Don King. Therefore it is entirely plausible to be a Manny fan and dislike Bob Arum. I have a very strong su****ion of who poisoned the game, and I happen to believe it was/is Bob Arum. That's why we're here discussing a fight with Chris Algeri. Floyd is not the blame. Manny is not the blame. The blame falls squarely on Bob Arum.Comment

Personally, I don't think any fight is "PPV worthy" seeing how the only reason I subscribe to HBO and Showtime is for boxing. Personally, I don't understand how some of these folks around here seem to almost take pride in having to shell out extra money to see their favs.
That said, just because I don't deem a fight "worthy" of dropping PPV dough on doesn't mean its a bad fight. And that's how I feel about Manny-Algeri. Manny doesn't have any big fight options. Floyd fight isn't gonna happen. JMM doesn't wanna fight him. Bradley isn't sellable. Pac would never go near the same boxing ring as Canelo. So what other options does he have? Had Provo taken care of business, folks would be salivating over Pac-Provo. So why so down on Pac fighting the guy that beat Provo?Comment
