Meh, he already won the legit championship, keeping one over the other at this point is of no significance. Besides, if they break the rules for Mauweather, I think they would for Cotto. If GGG wins, they'll probably strip him, if Cotto wins, they'll keep him unified.

It would be a duck, but it would be really hard to be angry with Cotto for ducking Gennady Golovkin. He is not a middleweight, he's at the end of his career, and he would almost certainly be fighting a huge, huge, mega super money fight instead.
