Paulie is the best commentator in boxing overall.

Commentating much like singing you have to have a voice that will attract an audience. I start to yawn listening to Ward. Paulie not only has the in ring experience of the highest levels to know what the fighter in there is feeling and communicate that to us, but his voice is just for the job. He is also a smart person given the way he breaks down and analyzes a fight/situation.

There is a reason why U.K. media invites him over for guest appearances and it's not only because of his Hatton rivalry.

i prefer Ward...he doesn't get emotional as much as Paulie...with a team of Kellerman and Lampley, we dont need another commentator that can't keep his emotions in check

plus i like the humility that Ward shows..the guys is probably the 2nd best fighter in the world but you dont get a hint of that

I like both as fighters and commentators but I think Ward is better at both. Paulie is a better commentator than fighter but he working with more at Showtime than Ward with HBO.

Think Ward did a great this sat and help bring that HBO team together. Max didnt even try to argue with Ward and thats encouraging.
