LIST 8 CLEAR rounds that Algieri WON last night

    Specially after getting dropped twice.

And for those who say I predicted a KO, here's my pre fight analysis:

HOWEVER, I honestly CANNOT find more than 4 rounds to give Algieri.

He got a MARGARITO-Pacquiao esque beatdown last night. There is no way he won that fight.

2nd half of the fight as nearly all algieri,, but the first half was nearly all ruslan...

the 2nd round was clearly chris, but i think that was the only round he won early, but 2nd half he schooled ruslan.... but i find it hard to give chris 8 rounds,, i thought he clearly won 6, maybe 7, but def not 8

It's a lose-lose situation, not much to gain financially / points wise, just like the fight itself in terms of significance. Too risky to bet on confidently considering Provo is not great at anything he goes but he is one of the toughest, most rugged fighters in the sport. And those characteristics are very determining in a sport that sometimes comes down to will and determination.

Algieri is a decent boxer, decent enough to keep an one dimensional tough guy at bay. A guy who is definitely hittable. However, it comes down to this... How will Algieri deal with Provodnikov type pressure? Taylor's pressure won't ever resemble Provodnikov's, then again most fighters do not pressure with the same relentlessness and willingness as Provo does. Another question is, is his power decent enough to keep Provo honest or will it encourage Provo to attack confidently?

Too many intangibles and variables in play to be able to bet on Provo decisively.

My prediction though, Algieri stays competitive through the first half of the fight winning some rounds despite getting hit clean a few times but ultimately breaks down and gets stopped by Provodnikov in the 7th round. I WOULD not be surprised at all though, if Algieri DOES last and wins a close UD tonight.

Neither scenario would shock or surprise me at all.

WAR PROVO THOUGH!!!!!! TO THE DEATH!!!!!!!
But again, he wasn't able to outbox him. He got pressured and battered throughly. He did manage to win 4 rounds BUT he still got dropped twice.

Let's say you did see it that way which I do understand... He still got dropped twice. How the hell did he win the fight, let alone by 2 rounds. At best, and I feel like I'm really reaching here, it was a draw.

Had this fight taken place in any other place beside his hometown, Algieri would have lost. A close fight or wider.

I can't find more than 4 rounds to give the guy. I actially gave him 5 to try and be reasonable but I just don't see it.

He wasn't able to outbox him? Yeah, okay. That was Algieri's head getting snapped back all night by Provodnikov's crisp jab, that was Provodnikov turning Algieri and making him land only the occasional power shot whilst outlandling Algieri by almost 100 punches over the course of the fight.

              Wait, I have it ass-backwards.

His eye was fúcked in round 1, almost immediately after he went down the first time. They weren't able to stop the swelling, which is why it eventually closed and why that picture looks so graphic. That's not at all indicative of the supposed "beatdown" he suffered though.

I love Ruslan and I picked him to win in like 6 rounds. He caught Algieri big in round one, and got handily outboxed for the majority of the rest of the fight. He was reduced to stalking and hardly throwing or landing anything. He looked almost completely ineffective save for his brutal power occasionally connecting and rocking Chris a bit.

Algeiri boxed well late in the fight, Provodnikov looked bored..he not interested in a style of fight that Algeiri provides. A snoozer.

I don't feel like Provo should have lost but I can see how they scored it in Algeiris favor.

Depending how you want to look at the fight it could be a land slide going to either boxer. Depends on what you look for in a winner of a boxing round.

Imo it was not a close fight you just had to pick which criteria of judging your going into the fight with. Just like what Steve W said.

I tend to agree with you, i think the only reasonable scores were 113-113 or 114-112 ruslan... I really cant see algieri winning 8 rounds... Its not a robbery, i just dont agree with it...
I dont remember exact rounds ruslan won, but i had him up big after 6 rounds

I didn't score the fight, the first half was Ruslan Battering Algieri the second half was more of Algieri keeping his distance from Ruslan and trying to box but still getting hit occasionally
