Typical Ward commentating, favoring the "boxer" and coming off pretentious.

He may not be better than Roy Jones but his analysis is more consistent and focused.
I think Roy jones is too pro African American. He's always rooting for the black fighter and it's so obvious. Lol Ward though should become a full time commentator. I'm not missing seeing him in the ring at all tbh.

Lampleys hard on for Roach is epic.

I don't mind Roy. He roots but he rarely forgets to analyze. Its fine. Biased vs rooting for friends is different

Wasn't Ward a boxer at one time? Haven't seen him in a ring for a long time.

I agree that he did a very good job. He speaks very well, clearly and intelligently.
He's the best of the bunch right now.

Exactly. It was obvious that they had an agenda and they concentrated on trying to sell us that instead of objectively calling the fight. This is the same reason Lampley has Golovkin as #5 p4p when he really has done nothing to earn it yet.

Props to Andre Ward for calling it correctly and fairly. But you could tell that even he restrained himself a little so as to not go too much against the company line.

Ward did well last night, maybe its time to hang up the gloves and stick to commentating since his fanbase is nearly non-existent? I mean he is a skilled boxer but people find him real boring in and outside the ring, as a fighter at least. But his commentating is improving, i guess his personality is more suited to that.

the prince is a master craftsman. he's learning on the job.

i'm sure he's got virgil giving him a pep talk through some sort of earpiece.

ward is one of the better HBO draws [behind golovkin and cotto, and not too many others.] he's also one of the better american draws domestically. most of the top billed fighters at the gate in america aren't even american. cotto, manny, marquez, canelo.

i get what you're trying to do, bro, believe me. i'd run the prince down, too, if he beat up our carl.

Ward was by far thee most unbiased. But he did flip flop in the post fight commentating. He was spot on mid fight when he was on record saying Algieri was winning, (which he was). But after the fight he seemed to be steering with the other members of his crew.

This. Ward/Rodriguez did 1 million views. People ignore the fact that it was just a special broadcast and it was the only fight shown. That's solid. The other fighters are on at least two fight cards. Ward isn't the biggest draw obviously but he does quite well for himself and people recognize his skill level.

This law suit is killing Ward though. He's missing out on a lot of winnable fights. Most of the guys at 168 and 175 are sitting ducks.
