But people forget this is a fight not a style contest, who would you rather be at the end of that fight? Algieri was running for his life and had 1 eye, if the fight was 15 rounds how would he continue?

personally I only watched it once and I think ruslan might have won by a point but he took his foot off the pedal. IDK im torn between the 2 and need to sit down and watch it again but from what I saw live, a fight, I think Ruslan won the fight but Algieri won the boxing match. Wasn't not that long ago where when a boxer would choose to box instead of fight then the loser wouldn't be exposed but simply lost on "points" idk man i really don't know. The people who say Danny beat Herrera or Maidana beat floyd should be the same people saying Ruslan beat Algieri. SO WHY THE FCK ARE THERE DOUBLE STANDARDS?
It may be a fight but it's not a street fight. It's called boxing it aint just about who hits harder and everyone judges how a fight is scored differently even judges. In my opinion those early knockdowns where enough for Provodnikov to win,but he wasn't doing jack **** throughout the fight to earn himself rounds, you can't always win a fight with one punch and landing few and far between is the same as giving away rounds to the guy who is out-throwing and out-landing on your face doesn't matter if you hit him one really hard if he is hitting you 5 times for every one hard one you get in.

ok I just re-watched the fight. I had the score 113-113 or 114-112 provodnikov.
      round 1 was 10-7
So Algieri and Provo both won 6 rounds a piece on my card, but provodnikov had that 10-7 round. With round 11 could have gone either way to either fighter but if I gave it to Algieri its a draw

      Round 1 Provo
      Round 2 Algieri
      Round 3 Algieri
      Round 4 Algieri
      Round 5 Provo
      Round 6 Algieri
      Round 7 Provo
      Round 8 Algieri
      Round 9 Provo
      Round 10 Algieri
      Round 11 Provo
      Round 12 Provo

I understand this but for this particular fight I think ruslan still won. Whats up with oscar de la hoya vs tito? people dont have a problem saying DLH was running at the end, but he still outboxed him and won. So where do these double standards end?

Because some people like DLH or Some people like Danny Garcia, so they will say they won even if the other guy boxed their ears off or they boxed some dude's ear off people are fans of certain fighters, and will back them no matter what.I have people here still talking about Bradley won that first Pac fight -_-. That's where it comes from and that's the simple answer for most non sensical **** you read here (fanboyism), seriously how are you surprised by this? That **** aint new here. In the other hand the guys who like the other guy or, like charging punching bag guy will discredit the dude who boxed saying he was a "runner" ,or all he did was pity pat etc because he boxed the guys they like ears off.

There's two side to every coin. Truth is Provodnikov probably won by a couple of points, but I can see a few judges swinging a few rounds the other way, so i'm not calling this **** a robbery I've seen enough real fk up, no doubt robbery score cards to recognize them when I see them. This wasn't it.

Yah I know its fanboyism but they are in such denial about it lol its like fck man why cant you say who you think really won instead of letting your fanboyism get in the way. imagine them as two animals in the wild duking it out lol idk bout that comparison but I think you get what I mean.

yeah I never said it was a robbery I just said I thought provo pulled it off like you said so yourself. But yeah the judges are the judges and it depends on what they like, im sure most of them talk before the fights and discuss on what type of fight the favor in scoring.

I thought Provo won but it was close. At the end of the day Algieri was landing but every time Provo landed on him he would shake like a ragged doll and that plus the knockdowns was enough to win him the fight in my card.

yeah I thought he won too. Its hard to score the fight for sure but anybody who favors a boxer is going to favor the boxer no matter what

Herrera was the better boxer. Algieri was the better boxer. Mayweather was the better boxer.

On my card, they all won their fights.

Huh? I don't remember Herrera's hand getting raised by the ref in the Garcia fight. What did I miss? What exactly is your point?
