For you guys talking about Ruslan cutting easily as evidence Algieri's punches weren't significant, some punches are much more likely to cut than others regardless of power. Algieiri was throwing mostly straight punches with the occasionally upper cut in the clinch. He wasn't landing a lot of the sweeping hooks that cut eyes up.

It was a close fight and I think Ruslan Provodnikov won it even though he slowed down and didn't work to the body how he should've.

Same score as me, I was actually pleasantly surprised when I heard those two scorecards. Ruslan was outboxed through most of the fight.

unfortunately i fell asleep and missed the fight ..when i woke up i thought i was going to read how rus steamrolled chris .... obviously that wasnt the case cant wait to catch the rerun ....from what ive been reading hats off to you chris

He did mostly jab but the only thing, you saw him do was jab? He got some nice uppercuts and hooks to the body as well, also some of Provs shots were being smothered and he didn't hit all shots clean, so what did prov exactly do?, beside land a 1 or maybe 2 hard punches a round. Also he had some hard punches land on Prov too.

How about sending Algieri to his corner with a badly busted nose in multiple rounds from sitting down on his punches? Algieri has great stamina and foot speed, but he got hit too much with power for this psuedo schooling.

anyone who had algieri winning better never complain about pac-marquez 3 being a robbery. pac outlanded marquez by far in that fight but marquez landed the more eye-catching shots. i'm sure some of you will come up with another way to contradict yourself. should be fun. looking forward to it.
