i personally feel too many people think olympic/amateur rules work in the professional business

How can you box someone silly when you've taken all of the punishment? That's ineffective. Algieri's punches had nothing on them - Ruslan cuts very easily and his face wasn't even swollen from those "punches".

What "punishment"? Ruslan had one great round. He was wild and head hunting the remainder of the fight.

He was outworked and outlanded. Boxing is not judged on whose face is more swollen.

You really need to be told what punishment is? Algieri had his nose spurting blood from those compact hooks throughout the fight - not just the first round. Algieri popped Ruslan's head back with the jab for the most part.. enough to win a fight? In NY with a hometown fighter, obviously it is.

Most of that facial damage was due to a single round, not some sustained beating.

He did mostly jab but the only thing, you saw him do was jab? He got some nice uppercuts and hooks to the body as well, also some of Provs shots were being smothered and he didn't hit all shots clean, so what did prov exactly do?, beside land a 1 or maybe 2 hard punches a round. Also he had some hard punches land on Prov too.
