Look it was obvious Prov was going to get outclassed sooner or later. Bradley fought a terrible fight against Prov which made him look a lot more dangerous than he really is. He is so easy to hit, and really only has that hard overhand right and left hook. Roach was screaming for the uppercut and body punches which were open, and Prov did neither.

I had not seen Algieri fight before and by the 8th round I felt like I was watching a different fight than what HBO was seeing. Very impressive performance by him. He took a lot of punishment and kept his work rate up. It's not easy to do that against Prov.

Now that the TR/GB fued may be over its perfect timing for an Algieri/Garcia fight. Malignaggi would have been interesting a year ago. And how about a Prov/Matthysse fight?

I thought this was an awesome fight, I didn't know much about Algieri so I assumed Ruslan would crush him in a few rounds (which almost happened). Man, Algieri came to win and was the hungrier fighter, really fought through adversity and outboxed the limited brawler. Great story and the dude has a ton of heart.

LOL @ idiots here who were saying that Ruslan would beat Marquez and even freakin' Mayweather!

So basically, we've spent the last week listening to this arrogant, attention w.hore Roach and his ******ed fanb1tches take and give this ass clown more credit for beating Martinez than Cotto himself. But when one of his overhyped bums get exposed by an ESPN regular, against as in. All of a sudden Roach gets none of the blame. Y'all are f.uckin' ******.

roach is a sh** trainer he has no idea about boxing skills..his fighters lose 95% of the time..ruslan defends punches with his head is that how much joke roach taught him??

and don't come with the "how come cotto beat martinez" line..martinez beat chavez jr when roach was coaching him..martinez is a 39 year old with damaged knees he's been damaged for a while now and let's now forget when JMM ****d pacquiao
Trainers either get too much credit or too much blame. Roach was telling Prov all the right things.

Even though he lost, I still want to see ruslan vs jmm and rios..

Algieri vs jmm wouldn't be a bad matchup either

If you think Roach has only succeeded as a trainer with Pac..you are a total clueless idiot...I'm assuming you're an angry Floydiot? Floyd ducked Pacquiao and tarnished his legacy..so you hate anything associated with Pac including his trainer?

Secondly, Floydiots will always say the guy who landed the more clean pit pat pot shots won...that being said..I fell asleep during the fight...Algieri just based on the first 6 rounds was not boxing effectively..he was purely running...Ruslan was clearly ahead after the first 6...I'll watch this fight again and decide who won...

I was rooting for Algieri..because I have no interest in seeing Pacquiao dominate Ruslan over 12 rounds in November...Hopefully, Arum isn't sick enough to still try to make that fight..I wouldn't be surprised knowing how control-hungry and greedy he is to keep Pac fighting in house..
What a surprise. This waste of skin has used another topic that has ZERO to do with Floyd and found a way to bash him. Dude just kill yaself

And Roach should have taught him how to do these things during training and not during actual fight. And it's useless to say do this, do that when you know he can't do it. It will not make you one of the best ever.

By the way you can't throw an uppercut when your opponent who is faster is just hitting you mostly with jobs and then out of your range.
Wat a I idiot u r? Roach told him fight was close. U need to knock this guy out and he couldn't Algiers was better. Not roach fault, its up to provo only the fighters u idiot n fight was close not white wash. Provo did well ull see wen Algiers unifies lol

Algieri has no power and just won a fight on a pay-cable network...

I think Algieri has just won himself a ticket to the $1.5 million Floyd Mayweather sweepstakes...

Cannot believe people are saying Algeri won because of corrupt judging.

Just look at the posts in the RBR thread; Provodnikov is a fanboy favorite and the vast majority of posters have never even seen Algeri, yet about 80% of people on NSB had it solidly for this unknown guy that got dropped in the first round.

You guys are picking and choosing way too much. Bet ya'll had Diaz-Malignaggi I for Diaz huh??
