They probably think Mayweather beating Ortiz and Guerrero makes him the "lineal" welterweight champion too despite Pacquiao and Bradley being in the division

GGG just has to keep doing what hes been doing, KOing the other top 10 middleweights in the division (Geale is rated top 3), while the supposed lineal champ keeps ducking him.
Your a Tard and a Troll.

He has the 2 belts that count (Ring and WBC) and took them from thee Middleweight champ shot or not shot. Sergio got his ass kicked point blank end of story.

GGG is in for a surprise against Geale. It is not going to come easy.

The middleweight Champ is Miguel Angel Cotto. Period.

He's the "champ" but hes not the best middleweight. When GGG stops Geale what will you say then, "Oh he didnt beat martinez doe".

Belts dont mean anything in this day and age, any true boxing fan knows that.

I'm guessing you consider Canelo and Chavez jr legitimate champions back in 2011

        And?
You've had such an injury? Don't care what you say about bball players or whatever where is your context? Keep in mind No 2 injuries are the same, you are generalizing.

Do you really think it only takes two weeks to recover from a surgery? I had minor nagging injuries from training that have been in the background with me for months..and I've had no surgery and torn nothing. Most all active people have some sort of nagging issue, the question is when those injuries become too heavy a burden to bear to maintain the same pace you were keeping before. This is clearly the case with Serg.

You mean done before even stepping into the ring? If so, why?

Bookmarked. When Geale gives GGG the fight of his life I will bump this.

GGG has not fought anyone! Please stop! You sound worse than fat Dan.

Just be happy Cotto fought him at an opportune time...his middleweight run isnt gonna last long i promise you that.
It doesn't matter how long his run last at mw. He beat the **** outta Sergio. Prime Cotto vs prime Sergio whoops him too. He beats any version of him.

How much credit do you give Cotto for Sergio being outclassed?

Canelo was legit the man after he beat Trout...

GGG might LOOK like (and quite honest he might very well be) the best middleweight in the world...but at the end of the day he has to prove it. As shot as Sergio is Cotto proved he's the legitimate lineal champ by beating him. If only GGG had a better resume but as it stands Cotto is as legit a lineal champ you can be without an asterik. Sure, GGG likely walks through him...but that doesnt change the fact Cotto beat the man.

Its like they say in boxing. Its not just WHO you beat, but also when you beat them.

Although Serg is gone... GGG hasnt beat anyone. Yet.

I disagree with Big Rig though on Cotto beating a prime version of Martinez. Logic and watching them both fight seems to indicate it's a terrible matchup for Cotto if Sergio could be Sergio. But thats my opinion.

As much as I love Cotto I'm not even sure I like any version of Cotto vs P WiLl or Cotto at 160 vs Pavlik...but thats also an opinion and better left for a different time.

Sergio had terrible injuries...its that simple. He's been dealing with injuries for years and fightig outside his natural weightclass... He might have started late but he's taken a lot more punishment than we think in addition to the injuries.

                      Decent win.

Not a great win, because of the condition Martinez was realistically in.

Fraziers win over Ali means more than Holmes win over Ali.

I like Cotto, I am happy for him, it's a wonderful accomplishment for him to hold the linneal MW title... but I am more interested in who he fights at MW at the point... he can really write a legacy if he can continue to defend it against prime top 10 MWs...
