Sloppy, sloppy fighter and was a KO just waiting to happen and he got beat by Cintron FFS, is it that hard to believe another slick southpaw like Sergio could it?
Been saying this for some time. Was never on the Williams hype wagon.

        Chill bro

That prediction that those guys gave came with about 100 stipulations
        -He sparred
        -he did ground work
-he shave his chest hairs with clean blades
        -he passed the NYC MRIs
-he was at least 30% - cause if he was - KO in 5
-he was at least 50% - cause if he was - KO in 3
-he was allowed his knee sleeves
-he was allowed to have his preferred hair gel
        -etc

Plus - most of predictions said that this was a tune-up, cherry pick to avoid GGG etc.

These lames are shameless. It's better to just point and laugh

Yo, I been laughing everyday at these guys that were backing Martinez, talking about how Cotto gonna get destroyed, Cotto too small, it's gonna be brutal for Cotto.

As if Cotto was punching his knee instead of his head.

Every prediction, expert or not, wascontingent in Sergios knee and ahleticism after 2 surgeries.

Like Roy Jones, Sergios athleticism declined quickly. It was clear in Tue Murray fight.

Sometimes predictions are wrong based on not enough information.

That's informed hindsight. Now we know Sergio is shot.

If that's not obvious or seems to be a shameless defense, the you're the one with logic problems.

You can explain something based on new information after the fact.

            How is this hard?

Here's is a better example. Margarito broke Cotto. Then we found out Margarito likely was plastered

Based on that info we see the fight differently. Now we saw Martinez shot, with clear signs since Murray.

That's solid. You're basing your argument on wrong predictions. So what? Who cares? Now we know.

Obviously, the point of any fight is to win and if Martinez knew that his movement was going to be affected by his knees he shouldve developed a different game plan to combat cotto's offense. If he came into this fight to collect a paycheck that is not cottos perogative. Cotto came to win and it showed come fight night. Cotto trained hard to beat any version of martinez, healthy or not. If any hate should be given it should be towards martinez for two reasons. One, for lying about his knee condition and two, for his lack of trying to win. Cotto fought many tough fights where he gave his all(clottey, torres); he tried to do what he could to secure a win.

Margarito broke Cotto? Who is MW champ of the world and who is the half blind retired boxer? This guy lmao... Mexicans still clinging onto that Marg win that's tainted as ****. Also it has nothing to do with the Cotto/Martinez fight... Cotto hit and hurt Martinez with a shot to the head, but it was the knee's fault.

In your rush to paint a broad stroke of Mexicans, you didn't follow my argument.

I specifically said Margo cheated to break Cotto and their fight. And he did break him to the point of quiting because he was cheating, which we learned after the fact. I was making a point about hindsight. Not one would now credit Margarito.

Maybe too complex a point for you.

I think Cotto would have timed him and hurt him regardless of age. Keep in mind, Sergio got stopped by a slow Margarito. I see no reason to pretend Cotto could not have taken Sergio out at any time in history. When we really look at Sergio's opponents, I just can't see how Sergio is supposed to give a fighter like Cotto real problems regardless. The fundamentals where just never there for Sergio.
hahahhahahaha now you exposed yourself as a Cotto-troll. Let me guess Cotto onl lost to Marg cause of the plaster, against Pac cause of the catchweight and the Trout/May fights were robberies right?
