When I said this was disrespectful 3 weeks ago everyone disagreed. Whether Arum's trying to be devious or just feels he can get through to Chavez Sr. doesn't matter, it's just disrespectful either way.

When Lomachenko got beat Arum claimed Loma's dad was doing the talking, and that the idea for the fight came from people who know boxing better than him. I wonder if he's still dealing with Lomachenko's father? 90% of these posters know as much about boxing, not the buisiness, but boxing than Arum.

He's had how many professional fights, and only now claims he doesn't understand contracts??? Then learn, idiot. You're in business for yourself. Just because you have a manager is no sign you should get educated, so one day you don't wake up and wonder wear all your money went . Cotto & Martinez had no problem coming together on terms. GGG was signed and on the contract to come up and fight you, he understands contracts. He's coming up in weight to fight you. You're the one that balked. You didn't want to fight Gennady, so you blame Arum. Floyd does the same thing so not to fight Pacquiao. As your Legend father had said to you, "Grow up; you're a waste of talent".
Cotto and Martinez are not signed to TR. Cotto was another "diva" who went out on his own, just like Oscar, just like Floyd, just like Mikey Garcia is trying to do, and just like Rigo will be doing soon. Do you think all these people having problems with Arum is a coincidence?

STFU, Chavez is worth more than GGG. His fans are millions in the US and Mexico.

Hard to like either side in this one. Chavez should've agreed to the Golovkin fight whether he took the offer with the extension or took the offer without the extension. But Arum wanting to meet without a manager there is so shady.

Why is the blame NOT on GGG and Chavez Jr.? It is the same as blaming Floyd for Manny NOT wanting testing, Arum NOT wanting to fight in May because he needed a stadium, etc. You guys seem to be blaming the wrong people.
I agree w/ you bout Floyd... he has the right to demand testing and deserves the lions share of the split [obviously if hes still generating at least 900K PPV buys compared to Manny's dwindling 350K PPV] but not on Ward.
Wards problem is he is delusional, he thinks he has a fan base when he doesnt! He wants to be on PPV cuz he wants a +5mill. minimum but if the PPV dont sell how can any promoter give him that type of money? Hes a great talent but doesnt move the needle/ put butts in the seats.
If he was more active and fought a few fights for smaller purses [1mill. - 1.5mill] abd looked impressive like GGG then maybe people would pay to see him.
GGG is the prime example... hasnt fought the best competition but he has looked impressive KTFO out of these guys! Ward should watch and learn

Good ol uncle Bob with his normal tactics. Loves to bind fighters on contracts so they can fight his fighters. That way if his fighter loses he has the winner to promote at all times.

What kind of bullsh.t is this? How can a promoter tell a fighter that he won't negotiate a fight with the fighter's manager, but the promoter will pick the person he wants to negotiate on behalf of the client? Arum doesn't want to deal with Keane because he knows that Keane is looking after Jr.s best interest and does what Jr. wants, not what Arum wants. After reading stuff like this, I can't believe there are still people out there who are ****** enough to blame Richard Schafer for not wanting to work with Arum.

I am sure Jr. can't wait for his contract to expire so he can get the hell away from Arum.
