This is what true warriors do, fight wherever need be to make the fights happen. Hats off to Kiko, if only other fighters were this brave.

Yeah frampton should just go after GGG himself, maybe even take in a tag team partner to weigh himself up to middleweight

He could want it at the right price.
I have respect for his decision and also Framptons. Didn't they also pay step aside money?

Exactly, we need more of this mentality in boxing generally.
It annoys me the amount of stick Cleverly gets yet he was prepared to test himself against the best.

Yeah that was an absolutely awful idea on Cleverly's part but he had some balls on him, imagine how much more money he'd have made if he just fought mid-level contenders and waited for a B-Hop bout via the Shumenov route. That said you're right its not about the money its about the legacy!

The second awful idea on Cleverley's part was to go head to head with Kovalev. He's a much better boxer than many realise, with a good chin and a great engine. I think he could have made a real fight of it if he'd used different tactics.
And after seeing Stevenson against Fonfara, I think Cleverley would have beaten Superduck if he'd fought him instead of Krusher. He could have done everything Fonfara did, and when Ducko buckled, Cleverley would have gone for the kill.

The way things turned out, that would have been a better idea than fighting Cotto in New York.
