It's so annoying to hear commentating that discredits what is really going on. Everyone acts like Martinez never trained for this fight a day in his life. Do you honestly think he would defend his championship if he couldn't handle 1 round in the ring? GTFO.
If you want to belittle Cotto's win, then say Martinez got old overnight. That's better to hear because it happens eventually to every fighter. But saying that Martinez was a cripple in there is a joke.
i'm pretty damn sure roy knows more about boxing than you do.

Hmmmm Roy Jones wasn't commentating on BoxNation and I still saw an average looking Cotto vs a semi-crippled Martinez who should have never been medically cleared to fight. Interesting theory though.

Those were pretty bogus Kd's honestly, the only real one with a solid punch was the one behind the head.

On the last one, his knee actually gave out, you could see it plain as day. Sergio tried to play it off by looking down at the canvas as if it was a slip on the painted portion. Dude's knees were a problem man. Sure, he was probably buzzed from the punch in the first but if it was that serious, why didn't he go down from the punch to begin with? He got tagged but he didn't go flying to the canvas off of that punch alone.

Cotto did really well but to say that Martinez' knees weren't a problem is a pretty hard sell.

So by your own admission he was fine? Is it so hard to understand that the initial punch Cotto landed was on his head and not his knees? Sergio was wobbled like 3 times in the 1st round. He got caught cold by someone who he thought couldnt hurt him and i dont think he was mentally prepared for that. He was never gonna be able to get away from that lefthook anyway, which most likely gave him that concussion.

At the end of the day his trainer and doctor saw nothing wrong and Maravilla isnt making excuses so people should stop too.

Cotto's strength coach even said that brace with the two straps would only be worn by someone that needs the support.

What is the problem here? It's simple. All you have comes thru your root.. If your root is ****ed, then so are you.

This just shows your lack of understanding of mechanics, if your legs can't support you even if its a kid pushing you......you're going down.

Yes forget about receiving a severe blow to the head 3-4 times in 2 minutes which hurt you. That obviously had nothing to do with it. The brain doesnt mis-fire at all in those situations. That knee-buckle in the 9th round wasnt because of a punch either. It was just his knees. It just never happens in Boxing where you lose your legs from severe blows.

                  Severe

                  Lmao

Look at when Chavez had him doing the chicken dance!

Cotto's blows didn't effect him in that way, because they didn't hurt him that much.

                  I'm done....
