Anyone think Stevens would even stand a chance against Solimon? Seems to me he'll just swarm him and clinch to a decision
IBF mandates Sturm vs Stevens for mandatory position?

that wasnt curtis stevens. he under performed horribly that night and is much better than that.
he made the same mistake as he did against golovkin, waiting for a chance to land a big punch as opposed to setting it up.
stevens is very erratic in terms of his performance from fight to fight, but i dont think there are too many fighters at MW who can beat him at his best. keyword, "think". im not saying im sure, but he is very talented and a natural fighter with underrated skills.Comment

Credit to Tureano Johnson though... he effectively smothered Curtis Stevens's offense away and left no room for him to work. He did some work on the inside, but most of the fight was Johnson smothering Stevens while Stevens had to work with what he was given on the inside. Stevens didn't really have the room to land his trademark left hook and Johnson never really gave him the chance. I also thought johnson hurt him a couple of times... not badly, but enough to make Stevens start moving back and covering up.that wasnt curtis stevens. he under performed horribly that night and is much better than that.

If they fought again, same thing happens. He smothers Stevens and we wait to see if he backs him off again by landing the left hookComment
