My point is the symptoms of an unstable knee were there for everybody to see.
I'm not going to debate the effectiveness of the surgery with you because I'm not qualified and neither are you.
His movement was not normal and I stand by that.
I actually can speak on it because I Had A partially torn meniscus before in college (thats how i know most just don't have a clue of what you are talking about) & I've went to medical school. those so called "symptoms" that you described are literally A week after surgery. people with partially torn meniscus are literally back on the field within 3 to 4 weeks (and i am dead serious) A meniscus also depends on where you tore it and how severe it is. if it's severe they'll have to cut the flap off. (which would keep you out for a while) but if it's partial that literally only requires a clean up. (they go in suck a few tiny little fragments away) stitch you back up and you're done.........
What stuck out to me in the 24/7 was "if you asked me 2 weeks ago if I was ready... I would of said no... but today I am ready."
Really? 2 weeks ago you weren't ready? I could see SIX weeks ago you weren't ready... but 2 weeks? Hell one of those weeks is fight week in which you start tapering down your training... So really one solid week of training propelled you from not ready to ready.
He wasn't ready in the first place, he just got a really good money fight lined up and he took it... he was fighting a smaller guy that he felt fairly confident against and he took it even though he knew he wasn't ready.
That's my take.
And for the record, I don't think he ever would of been ready... the injury kept him out of shape long enough to hinder him from ever getting back to the point of the Paul Williams days.
His body is done.
Exactly...a few months before the Cotto fight Martinez was saying he could barely walk with crutches. It's so obvious after the fight was signed Martinez was hiding the extent of his injuries just so he could get his last payday.

NEW YORK -- After the ninth round, Sergio Martinez came back to his corner, the water from the cutman's sponge washing the blood from cuts over both eyes. His trainer grabbed him and screamed.
"Your knees are not working, champion," Pablo Sarmiento told him in Spanish. "They are not working."
I'm the brain dead one when you think Martinez was completely healthy on Saturday night. Okay kid.
Nobody ever said that. I just laugh at butthurt fanboys like you who claim he was "crippled".
Keep eating that **** that gets fed to you. Let me guess you're puerto rican lol.
Rough day huh? lol I can tell that you have been frustrated by Cotto fans all day and you have zero ammo, considering it is your hero who face planted.
And I am North European actually, Cotto's nationality is the last reason I'm a fan. How dumb do you feel now?

Stop lying man, that was a prime Martinez in the ring on Saturday. Cotto is just entering his third prime and is obviously Hagler status at 160.

Dude I have the same injury I had 11 knee surgeries my man 10 while a marine I have the same tear Sergio had except mine is completely shot not partially and I walked just fine and I'm 35
Cottotards are gonna keep bringing up quotes by Lou Dibella and Sampson Lewkowic despite the fact they would probably have Martinez fight again despite his bum knee.
Anything they say is spin city as they want to milk Martinez as much as they can. He's completely done though, I'd bet money on Martinez retiring now or fighting 1 more fight and getting completely annhliated.
