you can't speak on the issue at all. torn meniscus & blowing your ACL is 2 totally different things (the ACL is A MUCH more serious injury) if you've blown your ACL thats the reason why you still feel pain even till this day. A partially torn meniscus requires A small "clean up" blown acl needs full out precision surgery..........I have torn my ACL and meniscus before, at the same time. I had the surgery in 2006 and it still hurts now. I am also not 39 and don't get punched to make a living so I imagine an older person who really trains would have issues. Good win for Cotto not a great win in my eyes.Comment

That's my point though, you can't put a timescale on something like this.
In alot of peoples opinion he hasn't recovered from the surgery by the look of his lack of movement.
For everyday life he would be fine, but at an elite level I think his injury has been found out.
Did you not hear his corner screaming about his knee?
IMO one of two things happens next.
1) Sergio retires
2) Segio gets destroyed again next fightComment

First of all he only had a torn meniscus after the Murray fight, which was caused by re injuring his first injury....a torn ligament in the Chavez fight which is more severe.
So pretty much this guy injures his knee twice in a span of 1 year....then after 14 months, which he says:
"Without my physical therapist, Dr. Raquel Bordons, I would not be able to train today and probably would've had to retire due to my injuries. Because I train six days a week for an average of eight hours a day, I am always in constant pain."
Cottotards keep grasping at straws.Comment
