  • Did Cotto surpass Mayweather with Martinez win

    Yes or no?

It's close now imo, he has the best win by far of the pair.

Without a doubt, Cotto's resume at this point is miles above mayweather's. What happened last Saturday night is more impressive than floyds entire career when you truly think about it.

Also take into consideration that Cotto has fought EVERYBODY and during their PRIMES. Mosley, Margarito, Pacquiao, etc; no excuses. And Martinez after he was fully healed and prepared like never before (best training camp of his life as he said he was KOing Cotto in 9 without a doubt), having the best training camp of his career... Even Martinez said "KNEES didn't bother me, nothing was broken. He just destroyed me" pretty much.

Cotto has definitely faced stronger opposition than floyd, but I think Floyd still ranks higher comfortably.

What we need is a fighter with Floyd's ability and Cotto's resume.

That wasn't even Cotto's best win, I like how people pretend like they don't have eyes.

Cotto has faced almost every single tough challenger that he could've possibly fought. When he retires there will be no regrets as far as who he faced. With that being said, Mayweather's resume has more depth. I don't see Cotto passing Mayweather but he continues to enhance his legacy and he's a sure fire hall of famer.

Mosley was his best win clearly, had far more to offer at the time.
