if you want to be a prick about then that's your right. Show me how many of those KD's came from a flush punch to the face and not some hit behind the head or a semi-shove/trip. Nearly every one of them was because Sergio stumbled to the canvas. No one is trying to make up excuses for Cotto winning or Sergio losing. I'm saying the guy is done and should call it a day, nothing more.

Great win for Cotto and Roach. Now let's see Cotto-GGG.

That hook would have made anybody's knees buckle.

This would be great evidence if there wasn't a first round left hook that looked like it concussed Sergio. There is just no way to know, because everything happened so quickly and Martinez said he was caught cold, which is his mistake if he didn't break out a sweat before going in there. We've all seen fights were big punches are landed on the first round and the fighter is never the same in that fight, they never get their feet under them. The only thing different here is that the man had come of multiple knee surgeries. But we were all talking about how great he looked in the 24/7, at the weight in, in the public sessions. His team vouched he was 100% all the way and even more important, they did not make excuses after the fight and the MRI showed nothing was wrong. This probably wasn't prime Martinez, but it wasn't supposed to be prime Cotto in there as well.

Again, if he was in fact concussed, then his movements in the ring make perfect sense even if the knee is perfectly fine. He looked glass eyed the whole fight which supports the concussion theory as well.

I just watched the first round and a half and then turned it off after the fourth knockdown. It was so sad to see Sergio look that bad. I never dreamed his legs could be THAT bad.

It's hilarious how many excuses come in from Martinez fans or Cotto haters yet Martinez and his manager/promoters keep saying he was fine. Cotto has hurt just about everybody but Margarito with his left hook. He caught Martinez behind the ear and even made it bleed. Cotto was just the best boxer he ever faced.

The consensus on this site was if Sergio is shot Cotto might be able to squeak out a decision. No one and I mean no one was expecting Cotto to batter Martinez ... Sergio is saying he got caught cold in the first and that was pretty much apparent ! He got clipped and could never get his "legs" back under him... People were quoting Margo in saying cotto hit like a ***** and that even if Sergio is shot Cotto power wouldn't be an issue ... Good thing these clowns on NSB can do what Sergio couldn't do ... BACK PEDAL

you think Sergio was shot to begin with ? Fine ! But don't take away from what Cotto did... Sergio should've been able to beat him up without the movement on punching power alone, if we are to believe what most people were predicting (myself included)... Cotto stepped up when he needed to... A SHOT Cotto at that !!!

IMO Martinez has now lost twice in a row, clearly. Lost to Murray a close but clear 114-112 in my eyes. He is 39 and he is a millionaire, he should retire.

You can't give credit to calslappy for beating both Hopkins or homes yet you want people to give credit to Cotto for beating up a Martinez that was immobile!!? Dude again for the 100th time Martinez dd not injure anything in the fight but he wasn't not will he be at 100%.
Now if Cotto fights Canelo or GGG and puts on a clinic like he did Saturday then who can complain? But u Cotto fans h e to admit that was a shell of the Martinez we all knew. And if u want to gloat about tht then so be it but don't act like Cotto fought a prime agile Martinez because he didnt
