Exactly where a guy like Velez has a chance. Style. Mares is a face first brawler, and now he knows he can be hurt=long lay off. Velez is for sure not going to walk into such a huge left hand from an aging Jhonny. I'd go with Velez vs Gonzalez now, anywhere.... east of the Mississipp even more.

Let me start by saying that I think almost everyone on this site wants to see the best fight the best and this cold war bs isn't the best for fans but ....
Don't believe the PR by Oscar and his wanting to be looked at as the good guy in trying to end the cold war. This is business , lines have been drawn pick your side it's not ending until one side loses. You pick who you think will. This isn't make believe and his idealism is a joke and the fact that your drinking the kool-aid is a joke too.
Pure speculation on my part but I doubt Haymon fighters work with GB for much longer. He's not doing anything except taking his asserts and going across the street to the other side because he can't do anything else.
You have your opinion and thats cool. But I think Oscar will all but be irrelevant in a couple years and GB isn't going to be s.h!t but a 2nd tier promotion at best.
Let's see how this plays out.Comment
