Was roach telling Ruslan in the corner to go
To the body?
And 1 judge had Algeri winning 5 of the first 6, another 4 of first 6
A lot of the rds in this fight(early and late)were tough to score..It depends on what ya like and how ya score fights tbh..I felt the fight was close,I also felt like a lot of rds were close..Which is why I can not fault someone for having a wide score either way in this fight..Again it really all depends on how you score fights..
I believe Roach did tell him to go back down stairs..Prov was already committed to go after the eye..It really made Prov sloppy, and Algieri(imo)took advantage..I don't blame Roach for this one..
So Willie Pep is not a great boxer then I guess??Hmm,fighters like Bradley Paulie M should just hang um up cause they won't be able to win if they can't hurt their opponent is what ya saying??This is a pretty ridiculous post..The hurt business is scored on a point system..Prov was out pointed and did not hurt Algieri much after the first rd..
Just as its a punchers responsibility to track down a boxer, it's a boxers responsibility to hardly get hit at all by the puncher..Ruslan was landing enough in the first half of the fight to secure at least a draw, with the two kd's. Chris styled on him as he tired but Prov and Chris should NOT be counted punch for punch. A dozen pitty pat punches can be nullified by a good right hand or hook to the body, In the scope of a fight, and how a fight should be scored. Boxers with little power should understand this, just as puncher's should understand they can't complain about a guy "running", because it's their job to corner him.

I agree, but in this fight..Chris landed a lot of clean blows, and outside of the first Chris really did not look hurt in there at all..He out landed and outworked Prov,I really felt the fight was close..Again it's all depending on how ya score fights to who ya had winning this fight..I was happy and fine with the decision, even tho I did not totally agree with the scorecards..
I told people he was limited, but was attacked by his supporters as if they personally knew the guy. He ducked rios who is the type of fighter he supposedly wants to fight, to fight a boxer who continuously moves and does everything he says he hates. Will you all stop acting as if this guy is honest and a *good* guy , because every time he loses he says "there punches dont hurt, how can they win" while lookin like hes going to cry.
Finally got to watch the whole fight.
My apologies and congratulations to Chris for not believing he had the heart to make it to the final bell.
I thought he would fold under Ruslans pressure, it was a close fight but I think the KDs were enough for Ruslan to get the nod.
Algeri did what he needed to do but it wasn't enough to get the W IMO.
I really don't understand what the debate here is. Provodnikov looked ordinary in there, and got his ears boxed off by a guy who the general public had never heard of prior to the bout. Algieri deserves credit - Provodnikov gave himself away in the post fight interview, stating he'd rather fight someone who will stand in front of him. Algieri boxed very well and Provodnikov looked extremely confused on how to approach him. The 114-112 card was perfect.
