Will Cotto hold the MW title hostage?

Will undeserving challengers get a shot in a pointless, "money fight" (Canelo) ?

Or will Cotto take the best possible fight for boxing and boxing fans and unify with Golovkin in December?

I have a feeling HBO will throw him a large amount of money and we will see a unification bout. Cotto is a warrior, Golovkin wants to unify, I Think Cotto goes for it.

    Anyone else?

Well I don't think he is a MW, yes he beat the man but da man was a cripple. I don't expect him to fight someone like GGG to be honest because that would be unfair, they (Team Cotto) probably pick the Martinez fight because they know something we the fans don't know, their gamble has paid off but it would be silly to try someone like GGG. Cotto would probably fight Canelo or Mayweather at 160 and whoever wins would probably drop that belt like a hot potato.

Cinnabon next makes the most sense. I only hope this belt doesnt become the super junior middleweight belt

He's not fighting Golovkin and I don't blame him.

Golovkin doesn't offer anything worthwhile to a guy like Cotto right now.

If he's not a MW, do you think he should just vacate?

a fight against Canelo at 160 would be holding the title hostage

I think he should fight GGG or vacate, IMO. He doesn't have to fight Canelo at 160

He doesn't offer anything worthwhile if Cotto wants to just get money fights for easy wins for his fans. But he would get a big payday anyway for Golovkin so I don't even think that could be said

If he wants a legacy fight, Golovkin is #1 on the list of the greatness/legacy added to Cottos career with a potential win

Yeah, turn down tens of millions to face Canelo or Mayweather to fight Golovkin for "legacy".

              Speak sense.

Man shut the heck up this is a boxing site. Forget about being realistic. Cotto-GGG is BEST for the sport

You don't think he would get paid millions to fight Golovkin??? Come on now
