I could see a scenario where Cotto could get inside on GGG and makes things uncomfortable. But he's gonna get touched. And when he gets touched, he's gonna taste something he doesn't like. And Cotto's natural instinct when he tastes something he doesn't like is to run. And when that happens, he's gonna play right into GGG's hands and be stoppedsoon after.

I thought it was generally accepted that if Maravilla was put in a ring with GGG he would get steam rolled. Even Lou Dibella said he wouldn't put Serge into a ring with an "animal" like Golovkin, yet he sticks him in with Cotto.

Yea, I mean only half the people on here were going to credit him with that win as a legitimate win. Other half said if GGG won, it's only because he's old and his knees are blown out

Cotto will be a good test for GGG. He looked in very good shape against Martinez so he should hold up some against Golovkin for some time.
Pretty sure GGG ends him though, but it would be a great way of building up his name.

After last night, I am certain that the old Miguel is back, the guy that punished and softened his opponents by hitting their body and finish them off with left to their jaw. Cotto vs GGG will be a war as long as it last which in my opinion won't go the distance. Most people on here never gave Cotto a chance against Sergio. Sergio too big, too fast, too strong, even a 60% healthy Sergio will kill Cotto. Someone even started a thread with a tittle "Sergio will get arrested for murder tonight" or something like that. But what happen after he demolish the model? Excuses, excuses, and more excuses. Give the man his due, you guys don't have to like him, but damn he fought the #1 in that division. Watch the post fight conference and listen to Lou, Sergio admitted his defeat without any excuses so should his fans. GGG vs Miguel will be a test for both men, both have good boxing skills, both are devastating body punchers, and both have good ring generalship. Let's get it on K2 and TR.

If GGG has resume to show that he can beat top opponents then I would agree. Again he has good defense and good puncher but If Cotto gets in with his body punches then GGG might be in for a big surprise. If GGG can imposed his will then he wins easy.

Skill wise of course. Cotto is better than most...But weight classes exist for a reason.


I like Cotto too much to see him in vs GGG. :/...

Canelo is there and Cotto looked like he could hang with him now and its a bigger money fight and Canelo fights soon so Cotto matches up well date wise too. Winner could face GGG, those dates also match up. Interestingly enough, Mayweather isnt needed for any of these fights to be appealing.
