I'll certainly give Cotto his props. Martinez looked like a shot fighter sure, but Cotto's timing, speed, power and just everything was so crisp and precise that I just have a hard time believing that a guy can appear to be on the slide for a few years and then look like he is back in his prime again. He looked more complete that I have ever seen him before.

Based on that performance, I'd pick him to beat Canelo and rough GGG up. He was on a different level last night.

Bro, you woulnd't even give GGG credit if he destroyed Martinez... the same one that Cotto fought.

I've already seen the video, but it's hilarious that Roach said he doesn't know about GGG. Granted Chavez sucks, but GGG won a silver metal at the Olympics and a gold metal at the World Amateur Boxing Champions. He's got the boxing pedigree. Cotto looked great last night throwing combinations and boxing, but GGG's fundamentals are just as good or better. Plus he's bigger and has more power (I don't think you can question that).

To me GGG would patiently beat down Cotto.

Well the fact that everyone is saying GGG by destruction, annihilation, and domination, coming to severe conclusion based off what? Cotto just embarrassed the middle weight champ in every category possible (who had every advantage coming into the fight) and yet an unproven GGG that has beat nobody worth my breath mentioning is going to walk through Cotto and KO him with ease. Only on boxingscene.

Cotto if he doesn't get put to sleep, will get a beatdown from GGG and Cotto is my favorite fighter. Martinez never had a good chin and he had been down 3 fights in a row, GGG while never facing really top tier competition, has never shown to be badly hurt and I've never seen him on the canvas. He also would just pressure Cotto, who would eventually tire out and just... it'd be a non-bricked version of the first fight with Margarito.

GGG non-bricked is twice the puncher Margarito ever was with them if that says anything.
