we got one guy saying "10 seconds in i could clearly see martinez' knee's were fooked"
another guy "cotto didn't even hurt martinez, it was all just martinez' leg giving out"

waiting for some more for the list
An excuse? Ok lets pretend he hasn't had knee surgeries.

There was no way to know the state of his knees until he got in the ring and in the first few seconds, it was evident that they weren't there.

Cotto definitely hurt him so props for that but would Sergio be getting hit with every single left hook if he could actually bend his knees?

      I believe him.

With that said, he's clearly not 100% anymore but he hasn't been in a while and was still winning against ranked MW contenders. He has been the lineal champion since 2010 and nobody has knocked him off until now.

I thought Murray beat him but its not impossible to score that fight Martinez.

I guess Martinez really didn't have 2 knee surgeries in the past year.
I think the sleeves were all cosmetic too.

He was out running marathons and **** while not being able to walk for a long time.

Cotto did great, and won yes. No argument.

No way was Sergio 100% and it would look bad for him to say his knee was bad because he wanted the payday.

He was a much better sport about the loss than Cotto would have been.

        That's for damn sure.

Considering cotto has quicker hands, and Sergio has a ****ty guard.....yes.....Martinez would have still gotten tagged.

What, are we acting like Sergio used to be like Pernell Whitaker in there now?

It doesn't matter what he said. Here at NSB we have countless boxing analysts, psychologists and accountants to interpret what a fighter really means to say.

He was a lot quicker before. The thing I noticed was he didn't seem to get leverage on his shots more than anything.

dude, you can't know ANYTHING in the first few seconds. (all you can do is speculate at that point) and when martinez is telling you that it wasn't his knee it was A punch that he never recovered from we have to take that into account. also cotto was timing martinez. martinez is use to fighting guys like chavez jr. who plods slowly to him (with zero to no defense) it's easy to use your athleticism against a guy like that. but cotto was very carful and exploded at the right times (in no way shape or form did cotto follow martinez around the ring) this gave martinez nightmares..........

LOL couldn't stop saying his hand hurt? He mentioned it once, and that was completely different circumstances than what happened last night.

I'm willing to bet you don't even speak Spanish so sit your ass down somewhere. I do and I've heard plenty of interviews from Sergio, including the one you posted, to know how much of a humble man he is who displays a great deal of sportsmanship after fights. He wasn't anywhere close to 100%, even a blind man can see it.
