It was a bad day for GGG

Nothing will be available for him at 160 or 154 now for a long time. He's going to have to move up.

Martinez wasn't ever going to fight GGG anyway. Geale is a solid fight, then Soliman. Both of those fighters are better than Martinez now, no question.

Martinez wasn't a money fight either. Sergio has always been the B side.

I'd like to see him fight Quillin, but he'll have to move up at some point.

i'm not even sure who the hell has what belts, it would go al long way for him if he managed to collect as many of them as possible. he's got to stay busy though. the dude isn't that young.

This, pretty much. It's a good day for Golovkin as he is now the #1 MW without having to throw a punch.

Personally, I don't like how people are saying Golovkin has to move up.

                #1 how?

He's not the real middleweight champion and he's not the biggest draw in the division either. Not as long as Cotto is holding the strap.

Yeah, he doesn't need to move up as long as there's decent fighters willing to face him. Geale-Soliman aren't bad fights at all, and they might happen back to back.

Golovkin has been #1 for a while. Dibella's actions put those doubts to rest long ago.

Do you seriously believe Cotto is the no.1 MW? Let's ignore that he's the lineal champ for beating Martinez for a second. Ask yourself is he better than GGG? Will he beat GGG if they fight? How about the other MWs?

I think this is one of those rare occasions where the man who beats the man isn't even the man at the division.
