I'm a big fan of Rigo's but ratings are ratings. Rigo's style and lack of an large ethnic fan base (Mexican, Puerto Rican, Filipino, etc) make it very difficult to market him. Team Rigo has to be realistic with themselves. If they think jumping to Show Time and signing with Al Haymon (If he will even bother to sign him) is going to make a difference, they are sadly mistaking.

Then on top of these issues, there is simply a lack of star talent at 122 lbs. Rigo refuses to move up to further complicate matters so I can't see Rigo's career moving forward in a meaningful way.

He may not be destined to be a ppv star that was clear from the start he always has the deadstare on when the cameras are rolling, but it's all about matchmaking. We are forced to watch some of the biggest mismatches and the crappiest nobody gives a fk matchups, but no one has the balls to find someone who can compete, and match well with one of the best in the world?. Doesn't even have to be main event, but only nutthugs wouldn't want to watch no real boxing fan would pass on watching one of the best boxers in the world dismantle some fools.
Made a mistake on a earlier post. This guy speaks the truth. Great post

China is a powerhouse, just let Rigo fight in China, I think the Chinese will gain a respect for Rigo, Maybe its because they respect Martial arts there and the hit and not get hit base of martial arts point fighting tournaments.
Interesting angle you could be right

Can't really argue with what Arum is saying, If Rigo is as profitable as some on here think he is his career shall be fine with or without Arum.

Oh man, if he moves to Showtime I'll never get to watch him fight live ever again. Then again, unless something drastic happens I won't get to see him fight more than once a year against weak opposition anyway. I thought he was fighting someone else? Now he's fighting a Thai who doesn't even have a wiki page? Great. Sounds like a real tough fight.
