Calzaghe: "Froch has not matched my legacy and doesn't have ability to go to the US"

Froch pass Calzaghe in terms of his legacy two years ago when he fought Andre Ward. Calzaghe chose to retire instead of facing fighters as good as Ward and Chavez Jr.Comment

Froch was the mandatory to Calzaghe at the time. An undefeated and untested fighter who if you may recall was alot like Groves when he fought him.
We all know how big that fight got don't we. A fight between Froch and Calzaghe would have been way bigger than any Taylor fight that's for damn sure.Comment

Debatable. I'm sure Calzaghe could fill out an arena fighting anyone in Wales. Not really the point.
Calzaghe made 10m from the Jones fight which was on HBO PPV. He had already made his decision to retire after the Kessler fight because of constant hand injuries etc. For him to want to come back, he'd need a huge incentive.
Fighting Froch in what would have been a domestic fight or Hopkins in a rematch of a horrendous first fight or Chad "I have 4 fans" Dawson were not those incentives.
Fighting Froch NOW might be very lucrative to him but not back then.

The real world?Ok, here's the "real world," son. Money had absolutely nothing to do with Calzaghe's retirement. He repeatedly said so. REPEATEDLY.
