Best chance is HBO only accepts him vs GGG next year

Would Martinez need HBO if a Rubio fight is staged in Argentina?

With the age and history of injuries, I can understand why Sergio is looking avoid GGG for a farewell bout in Argentina. Id just so love to see the fight.

If and after the GGG/Chavez fight goes off, there'll be enough money for it to be made next year.

Pull like a Canelo/Angulo and use that to promote your other upcoming PPV fight

"Lawyer Franklin ‘Jeng’ Gacal Jr on Sunday urged Top Rank’s Bob Arum to make boxing history by freeing Manny Pacquiao from contractual obligations in order for the Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight to happen.

“History is waiting and Bob should free Manny. That would be Bob’s greatest contribution to boxing history,” Gacal, Pacquiao’s lawyer, said in an exclusive interview in his sister’s house where he is undergoing physical therapy."

Arum is always trying to get the smart people out of the room. Bradley chooses his wife to negotiate. Now arum wants Chavez Sr. to negotiate. Why is that?

There are two lucrative possibilities for Chavez. Arum revealed that WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (as long as he beats Daniel Geale on July 26) and IBF/WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch are good opponents for Chavez's return.

Once again Bob Arum wants to negotiate with someone he can take advantage of. Just like he'll do to Oscar De La Hoya. Which is exactly why he's so anxious to do fights with GBP. With Schaefer around he's not the smartest guy in the room.
