That's just too bad because Alvarez is rapidly outgrowing the division. Moreover, this all gamesmanship of the worse kind coming from Freddie Roach. Her knows that if Canelo cuts too much weight, the greater the chances of him losing his power and stamina and the lower Manny weighs, the greater the chances of him retaining his speed advantage over Saul.

In any case, Manny should be able and willing to spot him less than five pounds, if he's really serious about making this fight come into fruition. He did it with Margarito. Personally, it sounds like an excuse to not to fight him. For an athlete, Manny's body isn't young anymore. It's maturing and aging as all fighter's do and the longer he prolongs his career, he is going to find it more difficult to maintain fighting at the same weight class. Therefore, he can fight above the welterweight division, if he wants to.

Floyd is at least 7 lbs naturally bigger than Pacquiao. After 30, the age by which muscle and bone density have peaked, we have never seen Floyd weigh less than 146 lbs. Manny weighed in at 138 lbs against Hatton. Floyd even handed over $600,000 because he couldn't get under 146 lbs for the Marquez fight, and if a guy's moniker is 'Money' it's safe to assume he'd do whatever he could to keep money.

Just because Tomasz Adamek and Malik Scott have the same fight-night weight, doesn't make them the same size. Adamek could still make cruiserweight if he chose; Scott couldn't make cruiserweight for all the tea in China.

I agree. All I am saying is just dismiss the notion of the two ever meeting in the ring because Manny is naturally too small for Canelo. There is a huge gulf in terms of physical size between the two. It's one of the cruelest hoaxes that could ever be played against boxing fans; To build our hopes up for a fight that will never happen.

Lol, when Floyd-GGG gets mentioned Pacistanis say "Floyd is scared", "he needs to challenge himself like Duran and other greats". Pac - Canelo thread "Pac is too small" "Pac is only 5'5" "Canelo, please dont hurt Pac". The nerve.

Like I've said, there's no chance this fight happens because they'll never agree on weight.
